Manigod (Aravis) Information
In the heart of the Aravis Massif, Manigod is a friendly authentic village located between 1460m and 1780m. The Lake Annecy Ski Resorts represent and bring together the four resorts of the Massif des Aravis: La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt.
It is located only 35 minutes by car from the beautiful Lake Annecy. The small family-friendly ski resort locally has 25km of marked slopes as well as a ski lift link with the ski area of La Clusaz taking it to 125km. Where these two areas connect, you can experience a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc. The whole Aravis area, including Le Grand Bornand, has a total of 209km of piste. La Clusaz/Manigod and Le Grand Bornand are connected by shuttle bus.
Manigod is composed of 3 areas:
- The village and its valley - offer one of the most beautiful panoramas in Haute-Savoie with its traditional chalets, small shops and a few restaurants,
- Col de la Croix Fry - after the magnificent col road (at 1477m) you will find restaurants, sports shops, the ESF, ski lifts and accommodation. In winter, the Col de la Croix Fry is a privileged access point for all activities: downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the vast Plateau de Beauregard. Link to La Clusaz,
- Col de Merdassier – a few kms from the Col de la Croix Fry you will arrive at the Col de Merdassier, located at 1500m. It comprises a small shopping centre and several snowshoe trails. At Tête de Cabeau, you can admire the sunset. Linked to the Col de la Croix Fry by the ski slopes, but also to La Clusaz.
